SWA submission to The House of Commons

I am trilled that the Society of Women Artists has entered two of my paintings for consideration at The House of Commons.

The theme for this project is 'Women in Politics' in order to celebrate the women who have become members of parliament.

Yellow, purple and white were the colours chosen for the banners and flags which was used when woman entered parliament.

With that in mind, I filtered these colours through old lace which then appeared naturally through the process of burning the copper sheet on the area of the sky.
